Severe ear pain with no infection (repost)

Last few days I've been having severe ear pain in both ears. Yesterday, I went to my gp and he didn't see anything wrong with my ear drum or with my ears in general. I did have a low grade fever though (99.5). He suggested it was allergies and gave me allegra. I took it this morning and it's now 3 hours later with absolutely no change. If anything, the pain is worse and it made me very drowsy. I can't lay on either side without pain, smile, yawn or anything like that.

All the ENT specialists in the building I go to are all booked today. I have an appt tomorrow morning but the pain is excrutiating. Any advice would be appreciated.
