Uvula partial removal

I am scheduled to have a partial removal of my uvula in 7 days and I am having second thoughts. I told my ent that my uvula getting enlarged sometimes and I feel like something stuck in my throat. I think it's because my uvula touching the bottom of my throat giving me that sensation. I feel most of the time like I have difficulty to swallow. What's the pro and cons here ? My dr did not put camera inside my throat and we doing the surgery based on my description.
Am I doing the right thing

Re: Uvula partial removal

This sensation can also be caused by Acid Reflux or Gerd.
How long have you had this sensation?...
I'm surprised your Dr did not put the camera down your throat. If you look up UVULA online you will see a number of remedies which you might consider before surgery.
Do you know why surgery was suggested before any tests .
