    Unhappy Severe tonsil stones

Hi all. This is my first post here. I'm really hoping someone has some suggestions for me. I had a severe cold back in January, and ever since then, I've been getting tonsil stones in my left palatine tonsil. I've been to the ENT twice, and both times was told that it was nothing to be concerned about unless I started getting tonsil infections. At the moment, they merely cause discomfort due to the size and frequency. I dug FOUR out of the tonsil earlier this evening, although they could just as easily be pieces of one extremely large one. I took a picture, but I can't seem to post images or links on this forum. If anyone knows of a way to decrease the frequency or eliminate them altogether, I'm all ears (or eyes, as the case may be). Thanks in advance.

EDIT: I should mention that my left ear was clogged for about a week after the cold subsided. Not sure whether that helps or not.
