    Casual Bulimia

I eat fairly healthy the majority of the time and exercise regularly. However, I occasionally make myself vomit (5-10 times a month or so) when I feel that I've over eaten because I don't want it to deter from my progress and fitness goals. I guess I'm just curious if this is an issue... Is this behavior considered bulimia even if it's not an obsession?

Bulimia, casual or several times daily, is still considered bad for your body. Yes, I do believe this is an unhealthy issue. You don't mention how long you have been practicing this, however you really should quit before it gets really out of hand.

    Re: Casual Bulimia

It's been going on since May, I thought it would be a one time thing. It has been getting worse but I still feel like I'm in control... I don't know if this makes me bulimic or not. Thanks for replying

Daisy if it's gotten worse, then it's already gotten out of control. Yes, you are a bulimic.

    Re: Casual Bulimia

I believe that you are already aware of this being an issue since you posed the question. Like you stated, the frequency of it is increasing already. Once is an issue itself, but since it's getting easier and easier for you yes, it's a problem. You really should seek help with this before it becomes worse. Control is the key word in your question. Eating disorders of any kind is all about control. Please talk to someone about this before your health is greatly affected. Then all your hard work and healthy dedications will be null and void because this will take over. Wishing you the best.
