How long after parathyroid surgery before bone pain stopped

    I'm a little disheartened today.

My emotions since this surgery have been a bit hit or miss, and I understand that this is to be expected.

My bone pain has lessened, it has not gone away.

For those who had bone pain (my shin and forearm pain was insane) how long did this process take?

How many blood tests did you have before your calcium levels...leveled out? My surgeon is unhappy.

He wants to turn me over to my endocrin. My endocrin says I'm fine and don't need to see him or have other calcium tests for 6 weeks! My surgeon says that is not right and makes him totally uncomfortable. I go for another Monday per my surgeon.

here it comes, my overthinking and fear.

6 hours post surgery, calcium 9
12 hours post surgery, calcium 8.5
18 hours post surgery, calcium 9
24 hours post surgery, calcium 9.5

my fear is that it is going up. UP to where it was. Tell me to stop borrowing trouble. I think the fact that I felt less and less bone pain the lower the calcium and now I am feeling a building of it again, with the higher calcium numbers makes me fear it is heading back up!

I guess I'll know more tomorrow.

The surgeon had me on 2 tabs of Oscal 2 x a day and has dropped me to one a day.

I wonder if he isn't worried it is going up too much too. :\
