Pain is driving me to seek non-prescribed pain meds

I feel so hopeless. It's been nearly a year I've been struggling and I'm finally going for a second opinion because I don't feel like my OBGYN is helping me. I've never been one to take narcotics and I have a pretty high pain tolerance, but some days are so bad it's all I can think that will help. And my doctor refuses. I've been to the ER multiple times as well, when the pain is unbearable, just to be told nothing is wrong. I feel hopeless, discouraged, and miserable. I don't feel like I'm taken seriously. I just don't want to be in pain anymore .

Sorry to just rant off the bat. I'm just happy to find a place where there are people that finally understand the struggle.

Sorry you are in so much pain. Very smart to get second opinion. I saw 4 gyns. before I got help. Don't give up!

Thank you so much for your reply. I hope this next OBGYN can help. It's a shame this condition is so hard to diagnose and treat.
