Just wondering if any of you happen to know if endometriosis can get so bad that it grows on your kidneys and affects or damages them? My doctor suspects I have endometriosis (back, abdominal pain, irregular periods, etc.) and my kidneys are also acting up. Just wondered if any of you know if there could be a connection? Thanks!

Hi. I also have endo and my MD told me that if it gets bad enough it can grow anywhere. It can even get into your bloodstream and travel to different parts of your body (which is pretty scary if you ask me!). He also told me that he had a patient one time that had it in her nose and everytime she had her period her nose would bleed. Could you imagine? Anyway, I think it is completely possible to have it in/on your kidneys. Good luck to you.

Thanks for the info...I haven't been diagnosed with endo yet. It will be very interesting to find out what's going on!
