 IBS and Endometriosis?
Hello,
I've had problems with my bowels over the last couple of years but nothing like the last couple of months and I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on it.
Last month, I had very bad nausea that came in waves, when it got very bad I would have a BM and it got slightly better, this went on all day- the BM just kept getting more and more like diarrhea..... I was also sick a few times- all bile. I was on bread and biscuits for a week.
I eventually ended up in casualty with dehydration.. They thought I had gastroenteritis. I was ill from Saturday 18th Nov-27th Nov.
I've now had exactly the same this month- started this morning of all days!!!!! Although I haven't been sick yet although I've been feeling very nauseas and had a lot of pain in my stomach. I feel rotten.
In September this year I was sent to the gynecologist for endometriosis, although they wouldn't do a laproscopy because they thought I was too young and there is too high a risk. I was never diagnosed.
These two 'attacks' have happened around my period time so do you reckon it could be endometriosis which makes the IBS flare up??
my symptoms are:
* Being bloated
* gas
* Mucus in the stool
* Constipation
* Diarrhea, especially whilst on my period
* I still feel like I need a BM after one
* very bad abdominal pain and cramping that sometimes goes away after a BM
* When these episodes occur I get orange stools!!
* I also get very weak and tired.
* Can't eat very much when it happens either.
* I get a lot of bile- because I throw it up.
* I get very bad chest pains- they catch my breath.
* I get achey pains around my heart area.
My "endometriosis" symptoms are:
Pelvic pain,
Very very bad period pain.
Back, bum and leg pain.
Pain during, after intercourse
bleeding after intercourse.
Stinging in side my abdomin and down there. It feels like someone has been scraping my insides.
The symptoms mix so sometimes I don't know whats what.
Thats the only ones I can think of right now.
Any replies would be much appreciated.
