enlarged tonsils and adenoids causing seizure

strange question... my 4 yr old grandson was seen by a pediatric neurologist today for possible seizures...4 times it happened as he was running and playing.. he fell down and hit his head... when my daughter got to him each time his eyes rolled back and he was like a rag doll.... no muscle tone at all....

The neurologist spent an hour and a half examining him and asking questions...he is doing EEG, sleep study, mri and wants him seen by an ENT due to very enlarged tonsils... he said its possible that his tonsils are so enlarged that his oxygen level drops and it causes a seizure, that its not necessarily epilepsy... he gave my daughter many articles regarding this issue... just curious if anyone has ever heard this.... he didn't rule out epilepsy yet, just making sure its not a simpler issue... he said he has seen it before...

thank you for any input...
