My Sister has Chronic EBV

These are the words of my sister to summarize what is wrong with her; born 11/23/1983…I am looking to hear from specialists who think they can help her or people who have suffered form this also. She has tried many different types of doctors & specialists, but none of them have been able to help her feel any better. We’re looking for IMMEDIATE Feedback!!!

She Currently has “Chronic Epstein Bar Virus.” She has the worst case of it her doctors have ever seen – especially for someone her age. Normal “EBV” Readings fall within the range of 0-99… Her readings are 2612!!!

She was initially diagnosed with this approx January 2005 when she was diagnosed with “Mono” since then her body has never really recovered.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Re: My Sister has Chronic EBV

Hi, i just joined this site about 15 minutes ago to find information for myself - my numbers are almost exactly what hers are. My doctor said, "just rest and we'll test you again in a year." Which is BS, i've had this since Nov. '07 and can't handle just sitting around waiting to get better anymore. He also tells me that my numbers don't mean much but i just have to gauge how i feel (diagnosed with Chronic Infectious Mononucleosis and CFS)... Some doctors don't even believe it can be chronic... It's all very confusing

But i don't know any back information on him yet (like i said, just starting to look). Good luck to your sister. The hope i have is in the words my doctor said "Yes, it's chronic. But i've never met a 90-year-old with mono either."

We have to be in charge of our health and do what we can. Be healthy, educate ourselves and stay positive. i am a believer that negativity and fear/anxiety/stress can eventually manifest in physical ways and that this is what happened to me. i've already been doing self-work on the mental/spiritual/inner-thoughts aspect and now it's time to also branch out to finding a doctor who will be more proactive than, "rest, take some vitamin C and i'll see you in a year"

This is long, sorry. Anyway, here are some supplements that have really helped me:
_ Coconut oil (PURE, organic, unrefined, extra virgin...)
_ DMG (this stuff is awesome. i use FoodScience 125mg Pure DMG - you disolve it under your tongue)
_ Mushroom complex of Maitake, Reishi and Shiitake
_ TONS of vitamin C - like 10,000 - 12,000mg a day (BUT it tears up your stomach so take it with food and slowly build it up, i can only do about 4,000mg of C-Plus Citrus Bioflavinoid Caps right now)

Make sure to cross-check anything she takes naturally with any prescription drugs because even natural herbs/etc. can interfere with some meds (kind of like how St. John's Wort can interfere with the pill)
