Symptoms after 4 weeks?

Hi there

Just wanting to get a few opinions regarding my symptoms!

I am entering my 4th week of having glandular fever, and I still have no improvement with swollen glands and the fatigue. My Dr suggested that I should be fit to return to full time work next week (8th of October), but I don't see how this will be possible when I'm not feeling any better.

I was told it should clear up in a few weeks but could take longer.

Are these symptoms normal after 4 weeks of having glandular fever?

Yes, the swollen glands and fatigue can persist for 8 even 12 weeks in some people. I'm sure your Dr was just trying to be optimistic, and I would just ask him to extend your time off if you need it. If your fever and sore throat and body aches are gone, that shows progress and the rest should resolve gradually.
