    Office Exercise: Tips Needed

    I am new here! I just would like to take this opportunity to ask you of any tips.

    I work like 50+ hours a week sitting at a desk. I'm not only putting on the pounds, I feel generally lousy. What is the optimal form of exercise/physical activity to perform in order to maintain a healthy mind and body?

    A lot depends on what you have time for and what your activity level is now. Do you do your own grocery shopping, cooking, cleaning and/or yard work? All of that counts as physical activity. If you have the time, a good start would consist of walking, but don't overdo it. Start slowly, perhaps 10 or fifteen minutes in the early morning before work. If you can keep it up for a week or two, then you might think about increasing it a little more.

    You need to add activity every day, walking is great. When I worked in an office, I took every opportunity to move: to take a letter, to pass something on. Watch your water balance.
