A Manual Treadmill.

Hi I just purchased a treadmill. Not knowing it was manual! but I just have a question. Is it hard to get the belt moving and once its moving is it hard to keep it moving?

And can you run on a manual treadmill. I'm not in SUPER Shape. I am a little overweight though. Only 14 years old. And do you guys think manual treadmills are better besides the price?

Re: A Manual Treadmill.

Once you start walking/running it's not that hard to keep it moving, but I never liked the manual treadmills. It's not so bad for walking, but it feels weird running on one.

Re: A Manual Treadmill.

I use both at my gym. I agree, walking on it is fine and does the job. But running is strange and you look a bit awkward until you get used to it. Though I fatigued much quicker on the manual than the power unit, the electric one is a piece of cake and I can walk at 5mph for 60 minutes no problem, that same workout on the manual is TORTURE towards the end.
