1.) You won't gain muscle from jogging. Jogging raises your cortisol levels which creates a catabolic state (Destroying muscle not
building).
this is a quote from another post.

my legs have gotten really big and muscular from running. I dont do anything else apart from upperbody weight lifting. I dont care about the calves. But the mid thigh has gotten so much bigger at the back, i cant fit into my jeans. There is almost no fat on my legs- its all muscle. What can i do to make the muscle smaller???

So you want to make your muscle smaller.. Well you can always overtrain them. Or you can just do enough cardio to start burning muscle

I run about 30 minutes per day. Can you explain your reply I dont understand??

30 minutes each day 6 days a week. I run 8 minute miles- not jog.

theres no need to be sarcastic. I just asked for help. I dont do anything else that affects the legs so I know that its the running. If you dont have anything helpful to say please dont reply.

Its pretty much impossible to spot train or untrain/lose muscle in a specific area.

If you want to continue jogging, I might suggest looking at changing your diet around, maybe lower your daily calories so your body will start to burn fat and muscle for energy.

Your all so funny.... That person mentioned she gained muscle on her legs from joggging. I said in sarcasim " I better start jogging if I want the inches on my legs". That's all .. End of story ..

Such a wit you are. Been to school much? You might want to brush up on your spelling and punctuation a little bit... it would help you with your delivery of your biting "sarcasim." By the way... what is "sarcasim" anyway??

I'm not trying to dis you, but how do you know that your legs are all muscle and not some percentage of fat? Are you just guessing or did you have your fat content measured?

Internet girlfriend? Well... actually, I don't know her and have never corresponded with her. Not defending anyone here-- just want to make it clear that an advice board is no place for "sarcasim." I mean really, what would make you want to say something rude to someone looking for an answer? Bad steroid day, maybe?
