Question LDH or other Liver enzyme levels....

Hi,
I'm a cancer survivor just ending chemo and radiation treatments. I have gotten back into the gym and have been working out for a month now (treatments ended about 2 months ago). Good, serious weight training 4 days a week about an hour per workout. Basically, I'm starting from ground zero again. Worked through the soreness, stiffness of just starting a regime. If I can't do 3 sets of 10 reps of a weight I don't do the weight (so it's not like I'm killing myself). It's enough to know you worked out, but I know I'm not over-doing it.

My question is has anybody gotten a blood test while they were on a solid weight training program? If so, was your LDH or other Liver enzymes elevated that you were aware of? I've been given a clean bill of health, no sign of cancer in the body, but my liver enzymes (specifically LDH) are high. I did research and found one thing that causes an increase in LDH count is the production of lactic acid (by-product of working out).

Like I said, he concedes it's not cancer and does not know what is causing this (he's an oncologist); he seems obtuse about my explanation of it being because I'm lifting weights. So, he wants me to quit lifting for 30 days and have the blood test again. This really bums me out because I truly believe I'm right and it is no big deal; plus I'm really into the workout and highly motivated and just hate the thoughts of quitting for a month after finally working through the pain.

I'm not looking for a second opinion... just if anybody has had experience with high LDH counts while in a workout program. My LDH count was normal until the week I started lifting... just seems too coincidental. The Dr., while an excellent oncologist, doesn't seem to be all too wise about excercising... other than to say I should do it.

Any input would be so helpful. I'm asking because I really don't want to quit
