When is the best time to eat? Before or After you workout?

I have read many times from these boards that it is best to eat after you workout. The reason behind this is that after your body is in motion for a while, your metabolism increases, thus burns calories. This process continues for many hours afterwards. I usually exercise around 5pm for an hour before dinner(Approx 6pm) and it is working great for me...Hope it helps

Depends on what kind of "workout" and what time of day. For cardio focused on fat burning, the best time is in the morning before eating, while your glucose levels are low from sleeping. It forces your body to use more fat for fuel. If you do cardio at the end of the day, it's best to not eat anything for 2 or 3 hours before. For resistance training, eating something before hand is pretty important, regardless of time of day. It gives you energy you need to get through the workout.
