First off, can some define bulking for me please.

Second, what kind of nutrition would a person want to follow if bulking.

Third, someone please explain Sodium to me. I like to eat those 'Chunky soups' and they are LOADED with Sodium. Is that a bad thing?

Fourth, what exactly is 'Calories from fat'.

1)Bulking: Eating lots and lifting hard to gain muscle mass. While bulking, you don't need to overly worry about putting on fat since some gain is almost inevitable seeing as you'll be giving your body an overload of calories. You can minimise fat gained by making sure you still eat healthily. There are also various other techniques you can use to gain mass with minimal fat gain. For me, carb cycling works best.

2)As fas as nutrition goes, when bulking you just need to make sure your body is getting lots of calories and that you're getting the whole spectrum of nutrients, allowing your body to pack on mass at an optimal rate. Like I said before though, make sure you're still eating healthily ie Just because you need alot of calories doesn't mean you can live off Big Macs for the duration of your bulk.

3)You body needs some sodium. It maintains blood pressure and nerve fuction, but too much soduim can lead to high blood pressure, which is dangerous. Depending on your size, between 1 and 3 grams per day is safe.

4)"Calories from fat"? I would have thought the statement is fairly self explanatory. What is this in relation to? If it written on a food label, then it'll be telling you how many calories out of the total calories are from fat. 1g fat = 9 calories.
