When to move on..

Post When to move on..

Hi all
I was on a website and found 3 new workouts this one is for the arms. And they are lablled beginner to advanced. here they are

Exercise/Beginner Routine #1 # of Sets # of Reps
Standing Barbell Curls 3-4 sets 8-12 reps

Exercise/Intermediate Routine #1 # of Sets # of Reps
Seated Dumbbell Curls 3 sets 8-12 reps
Seated Dumbbell Concentration Curls 2 sets 8-12 reps

Exercise/Advanced Routine #1 # of Sets # of Reps
Barbell Preacher Curls 3 sets 8-12 reps
Nautilus Curls 3 sets 8-12 reps
Standing Dumbbell Concentration Curls 2 sets 8-12 reps

and im not sure when to move on to the next stage like from begginer to Intermediate, also can i have your opinion on the workout routine's.

These don't seem much like routines .... am I reading your post right and there is only one exercise listed for arms at all for beginners? Thats not right. The standing barbell curls are going to work ONE muscle (your bicep). What about your tricep? And 8-12 reps doesn't seem like enough if you're only doing one movement.

When to move up? When the beginner doesn't feel like a challenge anymore. I'd say give it about 4 weeks and then see how you feel.
