Why Does My Vision Improve when I Push on My Eye?

The vision in my right eye is very poor. However, when I apply light downward pressure to my eyeball through my eyelid, I can see perfectly without my glasses. It's almost as if my eye is misshapen and pushing on it bends it back into place. What does this mean? Is it possible surgery could fix my vision?

I had 20/20 vision until I had eye surgery (seven stitches) 20 years ago to fix a cut in my lens after a shard of glass struck my eye. My vision has slowly gotten worse ever since.

    Any ideas?

Probably due to your injury. When I press on my eyes they either black out or a pulsing light will appear with little worms everywhere. Eyes are very weird lol. But I tried what you said and no my vision does not get any better so I'm guessing it's injury related

LOL! Sounds like you're pushing a bit harder than I am! When I press harder, I start to see all kind of elaborate patterns. Kind of trippy. Can't be good for the eyes.
