| Static black spots in eyes
Hi, First post, be gentle
Can't seem to find a thread that covers my problem.Once or twice a year I get large dark blobs appearing on anything in the distance.Example when I look in the garden all the pale coloured flowers have black blobs in the middle! It can be accompanied by a bad headache but not always.Since this started i also noticed that it's actually there all the time but to a lesser degree i.e just the very small plants will have dark blobs. One other point; when I put my glasses on it goes away even when its very bad and the blobs particullarly big.My doctor suggested migraine but refused to send me to a specialist, but how can you have permanent migraine?I'm not convinced, any suggestions? Misha

I think what you may have are called floaters. They are crystal deposits in the eyes. My bf has them but he got laser done on his eyes and can now see 20/20. The crystals float around the eye but when they cross over the pupil then you see black spots

The fact that the spots go away when you put on your glasses makes it very mysterious indeed.
There is such a thing as a constant migraine (aura). It's called "migraine status"; however, the visual effects of migraine don't disappear by wearing glasses.
Is your prescription very high?
I would suggest you ******** an Amsler grid from the net and play around with it. View it at reading distance with one eye at a time. Use bright light and dim light, glasses, no glasses, and see what results you get. An Amsler grid shows blind and/or distorted areas in the field of vision. Beyond that, I'm stumped.

Misha Again, forgot to say that my prescription is pretty run of the mill for a myopic 50 yr old.
