Blurred vision and shadows

Hi,

about a year and a half ago I was suffering from severe headaches which generally would trigger some blurred vision. At first I thought it was due to blocked nose or sinuses however after some checkups it resulted that I had a cyst (size of a golf ball) in my chest.

After the operation these severe headaches diminished. However my problem is that about 5 months after the operation I started seeing sort of shadows around text and objects. I went to different ophthalmologists and specialists. However no one gave me any concrete feedback about what might be causing such thing. The shadows appear with both eyes even when I close either one. Such shadows are more visible with high contrast objects like for example: White text on black background. This doesnít mean that they are visible only when having high contrast background but they are more clearly visible. For example when looking at some subtitles from about 3 meters, I tend to see sort of the original subtitle and the shadow lying upon it with minor opacity, the more I go further from the TV or object the more spacing there is from the text and the shadow.

In the mean time I also have noticed blurred vision, eye discharge and change in pupil size in the right eye. I currently have CYL: 0.50, AXIS: 60 in right eye, however didnít notice that much difference in my vision. Everyone told me that both eyes have normal pressure, no sign of glaucoma or retinal problems.

Anyone has any idea of what could be causing such thing?

Thanks,
Chris.

Re: Blurred vision and shadows

Hi,
thanks for your interest. I am still with the same problem. I almost feel the same thing about light. Sometimes it feels like as if one eye is getting brighter images than the other one. I will be getting an MRI but am not sure exactly when it will be. The specialists do not know what it might be. One told me that you might have had a lazy eye and that you are now realizing about it,but I very doubt about that. The shadows are still persisting especially at night and in the morning I am still getting very dry eyes.

See you and let me know if you have any updates...I'll do the same!
and good luck!

Chris.

Sorry about your problems. Now I have a relative who suffer from almost exactly the same symptoms, please let me know what your doctors say.My relative doctors say its a neurlology problem, the neurologists say it is an eye prblem, CT, MRI were normal.
Thank you
