Exclamation Near Sighted and working at a computer

I'm near sighted but working at a computer without my glasses is not as comfortable as with them on. I'm getting older 29 now and am worried that i'm straining my eyes too much wearing full distance glasses (3.00 is my prescription) at the computer.

Anyone need glasses to see far, but work on a computer all day? Can you share what you do, or if you just wear your glasses and are fine?

Should I consider getting a set of glasses that is weaker so I don't force my eyes to do so much work with such a powerful distance glass on, or will nature simply play its course and I should just let my eye do the focusing?

    Any experience or suggestions appreciated.

Well my story is a funny one. I always used glasses to see distances with
    bifolkes to read with.
Anyway I ended up getting catarack surgery and now can see perfect
in front for the computer. I still need to wear reading glasses and I
    ware glasses to drive.
The day after my surgery I woke you and looked in the mirror and though,
    wow I look old.
I guess to moral of the story is to get glasses that you only use for the
computer, I did this before my surgery.

At the age of 29, your eye muscles are still able to adapt between distance and relatively close-up (computer. As long as you feel comfortable using your distance glasses for the computer, there is no reason to change. However, as you get older, your prescription will change and your ability to adapt to distance will also deteriorate. It happens to everyone.
