Seeing few long beams of light extending from ligth source and starburst like vision

I have seen halo and starburst like vision, few beams extending from middle of light source. The weir thing is that if I open my eyes wider, it's almost completely gone. And in the dark, watching the tv, I can see reflection of the monitor at the bottom. This is really depressing. Can this be Corneal Dystrophy?

By now you have probably seen an eye dr. but if not, do so as soon as you can. I had similar symptoms that actually receded in a few days but left some floaters. My eye dr. has seen me a few times since and said so far it looks stable, but I should call for an appointment if any new symptoms occur.

Hi,

Did you see any opthamologists, and if so: what did they say?

When did you start to have these symptoms and what do you think started it all?

Can you drive at night? Do you see starbursts during the day when light reflects on cars?

It's something to do with the lining of the eye in the back and it can pull and cause these symptoms, or something like that. It may be something completely different in your situation, but if it is getting worse and not better, I would definitely call the drs. office and tell them this.

I only seen optometrist and I will ask her to refer to ophamtologist. I started having long beams of light extending down from light source and once I open my eyes, its completely gone. and color rainbow around lights. now it's turned into starburst and halo without the rainbow.. so weird because its so sudden when I noticed it. depressed. I'll c what they have to say...

How long have you had your symptoms?

Yes, I understand. It's very depressing. It's also very depressing when doctors don't know what the cause is. When I open my eyes wide too, the starbursts and glare disappear BUT the halos are constant.

I've had it for a month now. do u have problems with for ex. looking at a cellphone or monitor at night has a reflection on the bottom or looking at a window in a dark room also has the reflection. the funny thing is that I have things floating in those reflections. once my eyes are open, the reflections are gone...

Yes, cell phones and monitors are the worse...there is a reflection when watching TV or cellphone, etc. It's hard to watch TV in the dark and working on the PC. Yes, when i open my eyes wide, the glare goes away.

Do you drive at night? If so, when you open your eyes wide, do you see the starbursts and glare disappear on headlights of cars?

I also do have long beams which makes it impossible to drive at night. Are you able to drive at night?

I see reflections from the light source. For example: while watching TV, it seems I also have a reflection of the TV below the screen. In a sense, it is like it is floating the image of the TV.

Re: Glare, starbursts, halos, double vision, seen 5 doctors. Please help.

it's hard to drive at night.. u saw 5 docs who weren't able to diagnose this problem.. it's really weird. I probably have no hope of curing this. Are u planning on seeing more docs?? when u say floating of the screen, do u just c a white reflection at the bottom or the actual screen at the bottom??

Any updates, or the symptoms are the same?? I'm getting ghost vision above the original object and gone when my eyes are opened.. I have an appointment with cornea specialist soon...
