temporary blind in one eye-?!
Hi there
I think I may have had this before, if I wake in the middle of the night, SOMETIMES I have a kind of black veil obscuring the vision in my right eye only.
It maybe lasted 5-10 minutes but then gradually got better.
I have been told it may be something to do with blood flow, but have not as yet visited the doctor.its the weekend.
Should I go to the gp or to the eye clinic walk in centre at the local hospital?
But really, I'm asking how common is this & should I be unduly concerned?
I may sound cool about it, but I'm a bit worried...

Re: temporary blind in one eye-?!
Hi Zarla,
If you sleep with that eye pushing into the pillow or your fist pushing into your eye that could be the cause. It could very well be an issue of cut off blood flow or too much pressure on the retina from your sleep position. This is not desireable.

Best to be seen by an ophthalmologist; I don't think GP's are very knowledgeable about eye symptoms, and anyway, an eye exam would be in order to be sure there's nothing internally wrong with the eye.

Good luck!
