    Addict behaviors, do they disappear?

I was wondering if it's possible for someone to be sober/clean etc...but still have those addict behaviors? Such as, lying, going behind someone's back, embellishing the truth, not being open, selfishness, controlling, defensiveness etc....Do they go away? Or do the behaviors always exist without the drug use?
