How is your mom doing?
I tend to think in reality terms.....phrases like that were propably said to offer support and give someone strength to move on and through adversity. It isn't a philosophy or command or rule for one to function. That one is right up there with "be/think positive", " it could always be worse" and "it was meant to be".
Perception has many sides. And with any of those type phrases, I wonder where the line of acceptance will be when one decides he/she has had enough and if others will understand or continue believing that living no matter what is absolute.
It's good to question.....some are willing go deeper than limiting to not wanting to know more.
