Hi all. My wife is aged 83 and she has suffered bouts of severe depression all her adult life. In addition over the last few years she has suffered very bad Dry eye. No antideppresants have really helped. In desparation we had comprehensive blood tests carried out in usa which revealed hormone imbalance. There is lot of evidence that hormones play large part in depression and dry eye. As consequence her psychiatrist referred her to gynacologist who will shortly start her on low dose hrt. I know this most unusual step at her age and wondered whether anyone else had similar experience. Many thanks.
