    Re: Fibro or Not

    Dear razzle,

I have the diagnosis of fibromyalgia. Fibromyalgia simply means tissue pain. The word really should, in my opinion, not be used as a diagnosis. Any number of things can cause tissue pain. The word by itself really can be meaningless for diagnosis or treatment. One needs to know why we have the pain.

I read your other posts to look for clues about what might be going on and I see that you were diagnosed with Celiac Disease.

Are you making sure that your diet is gluten free? eating the wrong things can cause the symptoms you are suffering. I feel for you because I love food and my body simply doesn't do well on the typical things that some people can eat. I eat them anyway at times and then I suffer. It certainly does not build health for us to eat things that cause us misery.

Another idea is do you exercise? do you eat a balanced diet? do you exercise too much or in ways that actually cause tissue damage? are you under or overweight? Are you stuffing your emotions, do you feel unsupported or misunderstood? Do you have female menstrual issues? So many things affect how we feel physically.
