Unhappy abdominal pain and swelling on rib below right breast.

ok i have had this area that is about 4 inches long and varies in width...that is below my right breast, sometimes the upper abdomen is swollen and this particular area gets hard and swollen and painful to touch...i have had an ultrasound and was told nothing about that part of me in particular..but told that i don't have gallstones and my liver looks fine...which is a little odd cause i also had an echo done for chest pains and when the tech was on the left side of me with the scanning machine she said my liver was far up the side of my breast.....which looking at the human anatomy isn't the liver on the right side of the body below the right breast and down the side....

i'm constantly burping even when i first wake up and nothing in my stomach...also i have a bad gag reflex and when i brush my teeth i'll throw up bile until i fell like i'm going to pass out....ok i have costochondritis and was told i have endometriosis even though i have only had one laparascopy about 15 yrs ago to burn away scar tissue.

if anyone has any ideas...i can't stand the swelling anymore it's all below my breasts...looks almost like a pregnant belly except that 4 inch area that swells out below my right breast

Hey there, your condition sounds very similar to my mothers. Below is the post I put on here about her. Please read and let me know if you are expereincing the same things.....

I am looking for help with my mother. She was just released from the hospital today after being there for 4 days still with no diagnosis. Her symptoms that brought us to the ER were uncontrolled cough, vomiting, swelling in her side and front of her stomach like she was pregnant, rib pain, constant nausea, slight fever (99.5), diahera, unable to eat but hungry, feeling full and bloated to the point she could not breath and could not take a deep breath without pain stopping her. She couldnít sleep because of the pain and couldnít eat because of the fullness. She had been like this since Feb 08. The pain had become so severe you couldnít even walk by her without her grabbing her side. I finally had enough of her suffering and drug her into the ER.

They did a cat scan, x-ray, blood work (lots of blood work), whole body bone scan, and a colonoscopy. Every thing normal. They did find sludge in her gall bladder, but that is it.

She is 53, diabetic, hypertension, and typically a stressed out person. Her blood pressure got as high as 258/160 while in the hospital. She had an episode (the night before they released her) of rapid heart rate so high that she couldnít breath, they thought she was having a heart attack or stroke when she lost the use of her left side. But after about 2 hrs, she was able to get her heart to slow down and slowly her feeling came back to her left side. She had an EKG and the test for a stroke, all normal.

Her Dr came in this morning and said well you are normal, and we think you have shingles. They gave her pain patches and released her to see a specialist this week. No explanation as to the bulging side, near stroke experience, of the near death hypertension. She is still in pain, swollen and canít eat a full meal and she looks horrible.

Any experiences like this, or anyone else have something similar? I am looking for ideas that we are missing or not thinking of? I am very concerned about her and really worried.
