5 htp

About a month ago I stopped all my meds COLD TURKEY(not recommended). I was on Cymbalta, tramadol and gabapentin. I felt like ***** for about a week. At the time I stopped meds I started taking the supplement 5 HTP. It is for mental well being, joint pain and FIBRO. I started taking one in a.m. and one in p.m. I am now up to 3X a day (the recommended dose for fibro). The pain is slightly better ( definitely not worse) but the fatigue is all but gone and my mood is A LOT BETTER. I also just take Melatonin at night to help me sleep so I don't feel toooo tired the next morning. It's not a MIRACLE PILL but it's close. I was tiered of being tiered all the time and now I am not. I can usually get through a day without a nap now and I used to take two.

Re: 5 htp

I used to take 5-HTP. It did help a little, and I'm glad it's really helping you. Justbe careful because I had a lot of problems with twitching that I didn't realize it could cause.
