I finally found an answer to one of my issues! I have Mittleshmerz it is pain during ovulation! I thought I was crazy but every other month I have the worst lower abdominal pain during ovulation on my left side... How relieving to know an answer to certain questions! I feel empowered right now! I almost want to celebrate, but I am in a fetal position with my heating pad on the couch because I'm ovulating... Lol! It sounds stupid but I have had this my whole adult life and always thought I had cysts, I do but it is on the right, I went to the ER for this problem 2 months ago and had an ultra sound that showed my left ovary (the site of pain) was releasing an egg and the right had a tiny cyst... I get pain on my left every other month since I was 14... They did not give me a name but sometimes google and a good obgyn is your friend! Usually it switched sides every month or will hurt on the dame side every month regardless of what side the egg releases but mine happens every other month in the left... Just happy to know um not nuts... Lol! Thanks for reading! Anyone else have this pain? It could be Mittleshmerz for you too! It's not dangerous, it is actually nice to know my fertile days despite the pain... Every pregnancy I had was released from the left...

Re: Finally!!!

That's great!! It's so nice to get answers. I have never heard of this before. I have had pain during ovulation almost as long as I have been menstruating! But it is on both sides. I've always said it feels like my ovary is a huge bubble that needs to pop. And it hurts!! I do have PCOS and just figured it came along with the territory. I knew it was from ovulation though because of when I was on clomid and tracked my cycles so well.

I hope you start feeling better soon.
