Re: Could I have Fibromyalgia. Extremely anxious

I saw A top fibro doctor yesterday, he says I have no tender point pain which I don't and definitely don't have fibromyalgia.
    He agrees it is anxiety.
Apparently anxiety can cause the sleep problems I am having and the burning sensations.
Thanks to anybody that helped answer my questions though.

    Hi

I was just wondering if all is ok now and did u manage to get answers

I am have similar symptoms to u and it all started from 2 hours or so of acute stress
Nothing else. I have never suffered from any stress in my life or car accident

I have muscle twitching and burning pain( very mild) and comes and goes
Sleep 5-7 hours without meds ( so sleep has reduced slightly) sometimes wake up I refreshed if less sleep
have mild digestive problems ( not ibs)

    Also have tinnitus

I don't have joint pain or muscle pain( yet..god willing)

    Could this be anxiety?

Can I send me details of the Fibro Docter u saw pls

I'm 30 year old male from uk london

Re: Could I have Fibromyalgia. Extremely anxious

I am sorry for the way you feel. Yes, anxiety won't help fibro. Please go on the Fibromyagia Network website and take the test. It will also tell you what the symptoms are of fibro. It will be extremely helpful for you to read that information.

I too was having symptoms that did not match my small fiber neuropathy and finally learned, after doing my homework and presenting the facts to my specialist, that there is an over-lap between the two. I have fibro. I am NOT saying you have SFN. I AM saying you need to learn more about fibro through research and questioning your dr. If he can't help you; find one who can. Advocate for yourself! The more you know the less anxious you will be which may help your symptoms.

    Please take care.
