    Foot pain since 4 years

    Hi,

I am 30 year old female and have constant foot pain (heel and arch) in both my feet since 4 years and the intensity is gradually increasing. The pain increases with standing and walking but I don't feel anything when I am sitting.

I have got myself tested for heel spurs and plantar fasciitis (via X-Ray and MRI), but it is none of these. I have normal Ca and Vit D blood levels. Off late, I have also started having knee pain and mild tingling type discomfort in my foot. I also have intermittent pain in palms of my hand when I use them beyond the daily work. Sometimes I feel, wherever I put some load, it starts paining. I got myself tested for Rheumatoid too, but the results are negative.

Can anybody help me here please?

    Dear NupurK,

The symptoms may be nutrition or hormone related that affects your diet which affects nerves and bone density. You may be magnesium deficient. A really advanced Endo usually can figure that out.

Another thing to consider is exercise and activity. To get calcium and other nutrients into the bone requires regular exercise and certain nutrients. Without those things we can live in a lot of pain.

Magnesium makes calcium able to enter the bone. Many of us are deficient in magnesium. I take Magnesium citrate.

    Thanks for the reply.

I also have PCOS which was first detected at almost the same time, few months before this pain started. It had recurred 3 times in these 4 years - so I do have hormonal imbalances.
Could this be a contributing factor?

    Thanks for the reply.

I do have PCOD too, which was first detected 4 years ago and has recurred thrice since then. So, I do have hormonal imbalances. Could this be a contributor in some way?
