Question Walking after 1st thru 3rd metatarsal fractures, how much pain is normal?

At the beginning of the summer I fell and managed to break the first three metatarsals in my left foot, along with the 5th metatarsal in my right. I'm 8 weeks post op on the left foot (got a screw and something called a tightrope put in) and my right foot is basically healed save for a bit of soreness every once in a while. I've been in a CAM boot since I got my splint off a few weeks after surgery.
I'm starting to walk with the boot while using either a walker or a cane. So far it hasn't been too terrible, but I'm quite sore and the last time I did much walking with the cane I had to switch back to my knee scooter. How much pain is normal in this situation? I have a pretty high pain tolerance so I'm not very good at judging when I'm pushing myself too far, but I'm also pretty nervous about reinjuring myself so I'm not sure what pain is a normal part of the process.
Any answers or general advice about returning to walking is appreciated!

EDIT: I forgot to add that my chart says I have a lisfranc dislocation in my left foot, but my doctor never mentioned it specifically or how it'll play into my recovery.

Hi, I broke my 2nd & 3rd metatarsal on the right foot 2 years ago while bike riding. Pain slowly eased but now I have fibroids in The arch of both feet fascia. My low arch in my right foot causes plantar fasciitis that shoots pain in the heal. I'm ordering ascics over pronation running shoes. So, I would say that you certainly may continue to have even arthritic pain in your foot. I have ankle arthritis too. I never had pain before I broke my foot bones. Sorry I know this is not a positive note. Maybe an orthopedic physician may have a better response to your question. God bless
