best shoe inserts for crushed calcaneal

I fractured both ankles and heels and have regained ability to walk but have not found good inserts to help with comfort. Even made to order ones, tho those helped with the initial strengthening and remodeling. Now I just want something to stick in my walking boots to provide more cushion for my heels and stay in place. Suggestions?

I donít know about specific inserts but I have found Kuru and Z-coils to be the most forgiving shoes for my healing calcaneus.

    Get custom ones.

They will fit better and last longer. Also get them replaced. They may need adjustment. I've had mine ground here and there. Maybe heels to high in one area, or rubbing in another, Don't be afraid to say something. Your second pair may be better, after they see the wear marks.

My insurance covers 2 pairs a year. I have put the old ones in other boots I don't wear a lot. But when I get a new pair I usually notice the difference.

I eventually got a pair for my good foot. I think I favor it.
