I've had what I've thought was a plantar wart on one heel for about.6-8 years. Sometimes I would use the acid pads and it would get somewhat better-but not completely.
But, after looking at photos of planter warts-mine doesn't look anything like that. It's just in one spot, the same spot it has been for years. It seems to have a "white core" that can be cut down and it feel better after that when pressure is applied. Could this be a corn? Can a corn last this long? It's right in the center of one heel and protrudes a small amount, less than the diameter of a dime. Anyone have a clue?

Re: Planter Wart or Corn....or ??
Have you seen a Dr. about this? It sounds like a corn to me. I have some on the ball of my foot. Yes, they can last for years or a lifetime. Don't use corn removers, that will make it worse, plus hurt more. Do you feel a bone in that spot? Bones can cause a corn to form when you have problems with your feet.
