Talus OCD Debridement/Microfracture - How Long for PT?

I had OCD debridement/microfracture in June, and have been released my my dr. to start light running next week. He mentioned that I don't need PT any longer. My question to those of you who have been thru this is how long did you do PT? I think I'd feel a bit better about starting running if I had some continued "support" along the way. (I don't see my OS again until Dec.) Am I being a sissy, or should I tell him I want to continue to PT as well?

How long did you all have PT, and did it continue when you returned to your normal activities? (For the record, I had 6 weeks of PT.)
