    Talking Overlapping little toes

Does anyone else know more about this? Both of my little toes tend to ride up and overlap my fourth toes when I move my feet certain ways. Kind of hard to describe but basically, movements like shifting my weight or stepping up onto something--even sitting with my legs out (like for sit-ups or stretching), seem to cause my little toes to ride up. This started whan I was in my teens and I'm 29 now. It has gotten worse over the years and neither of my fifth toes touches the ground at all anymore. My right one, especially seems to be gradually turning into a full time overlapping little toe. Knew a couple of guys in college with overlapping little toes but they said they were born with them that way. Has anyone else heard of this or experianced this?

I also have an overlapping toe but it is on my left foot
My father had both his little toes "up on top" of his foot so my toe is probably heredity
Is your overlapping to heredity ?
Do you wish both toes overlapped so that your feet were the same shape & size ?
I have found that if I push the little toe up higher on my foot (like my father) it does not catch on straps & is quite comfotable
Is your toe flat & redundant or can you move it ?
My only problem is that people think it looks funny & ask me what happened
Do people ask you what happened ?
Have you seen any photographs of overlapping toes on the internet so I can compare them with mine ?
    Regards

My father had both his little toes overlapping onto the top of his foot
He did not have them amputated & I do not think they helped him balance at all
They do not touch the ground & never have
He seems to have good balance though depite only walking on eight toes
Have you ever tried to have your little toes straightened ?
Do you know anyone with overlapping small toes ?
My left toe overlaps up on top but the right little toe is OK
I do not think of having it amputated even though it is redundant & looks funny - it is purely a cosmetic toe with no function
