Lesion on foot. (Any help appreciated.)

Hi everyone,

I'm new to this so I'm just going to do this as best I can. I've had this weird lesion on my foot now for almost a month. It was about twice the size of what it is now and really infected, so I soaked it in an epson salt bath and bandaged it with antibiotic formula each night for a week. I was able to get pus out of it and it did shrink. It hurt to the touch and was red and purple around the edges. It doesn't hurt or pus anymore but it is refusing to heal and I'm a little worried.

It looks like a red hole on my foot, and is white around it. It then has red and purple around that, and some scar tissue.

I got this from playing mud volleyball, so I was running around in the dirt, so I don't know if it is a bite or something worse. Thanks for all your help.

If I can post more info let me know.

You really need to go see a doctor. Who knows what kind of bacteria you got in it from mud volleyball, or you may have some other problem like diabetes which is keeping your foot from healing.

Thanks for your opinion Lisa. I don't have diabetes, but I know your 100% right about the bacteria.

I probably should have also mentioned that it is a little smaller than a pencil eraser.

It sound like a spider bite to me - I got a bad one a few months ago and I still have a red mark. Some spider cause the skin to die where the bite you - I would go see a Dr. to make sure it doesn't get infected again.

BTW - I live just a few miles from Huey Lewis .....
