I've noticed that most posts talk about removal of the sesamoid bone. I recently had my sesamod bone planed and the excess tissue removed. Has anyone else had this surgery?
I was confined to home and little weight bearing using a cane for 11 days following surgery. Had the stitches removed yesterday and have finally been out of the house for other than doctor visits today. Freedom!
When the foot is not propped up the area around the incision throbs and the toes look a bit swollen, more weight still "hurts", but not like the walking on bone that I had previously.
