Recovery post bilateral Akin, Weil, and hammertoe correction

Hi everyone,
I'm new to this site, and I'm 5 wks. post-op for bilateral Akin bunionectomy and Weil procedures with bilateral 2nd toe hammertoe correction. I was NWB for the first 48 hours then in post-op shoes with a walker. I only used the walker for a couple of days. At 3 wks post-op, I had the pins removed from my second toes. I have returned to my MD weekly for drsg changes, he says all is well. I still have pain and swelling in my feet, esp. the right. Has anyone experienced this? This recovery seems so slow....The high part of my day is getting a shower. I feel I should be able to do more.....Any advice will be greatly appreciated as time is moving slowly....
Thanks, Reba
