Sprained ankles
Hello Everyone,
I had a 2nd degree ankle sprained 3.5 months ago, so I came here and read about it. I am not posting my problem, but I am just curious about what I have read here in the last week. I see these general things:
Grade 1: no problem, it will be OK in a month or so.
Grade 2: pain, swelling, bruises varies for individuals but most have some problems in later years.
Grade 3: surgery needed and even with surgery, there are other problems in later years.
My questions:
Is there anybody with grade 2 and 3 were able to live a normal life afterward?
If not, then what happened? With all the techonology, all the funds and all the researchs, is this all we can do for "ankle sprained"?
I heard people with HIV live normal lives a decade or more later, yet ankle sprained is what we can't fix in this day and age?
What do orthopedic specialists, podiatrist, sports injuries specialists do? Are they all that incompetent that they can't find a solution?
I read many stories that sound so bad that I got upset and afraid for myself. I read about how OS did not take it seriously when people tell them about the problems. I can't believe this is happening in our society. Doctors should treat their patients like a mother treating a child when the child is sick. .. so I thought. I guess it's all about money for doctors because if we are in pain, more money for them.
For those of you who suffer with this, you will be in my prayers for a full recovery.
