Brostom Repair Strictly for Ankle Instability.

I've been lurking on these forums for a while and I noticed that people who tend to post to here has had the surgery for many foot/ankle ailments accompanied with instability. My question is kinda directed to anyone who has had the surgery strictly for instability. This may sound a bit over the top but bear with me. When you walk does it feel normal again?
