    Just talked with the surgeon's assistant and she said that he believes it is just sore from the physical therapy and to watch it to see if it goes away or not. If it becomes worse, they can get me in before my October appointment. She said they could put me in a brace or a boot before having to do another surgery, so there are options if it is torn (though it didn't heal before with those things). So, onward I go! I'll just "ignore" it for now and see where life takes me...

    Lightstepper-it does seem unlikely that it would tear doing the activities you described. Was there some exercise in particular that you felt started the pain?

    True.. It often starts out as ptt and then progresses to pttd

    There is this one exercise that was REALLY hard for me to do that I believe kicked things off. Imagine a stretched out frizbee with 1/2 a ball on the base of it. You put your foot on the top edge, then rotate your foot so ALL the edges of the oval frizbee touch. I really had to force the thing to touch when it came to activating those inside tendons. Ouch!! She didn't make me do it this week. And it is getting easier for me to do it, so maybe it hurts while the tendon is getting re-activated with all this range of motion stuff. Who knows!

    I had my first full session of pt today. I'm sore but I think I'll be alright. I've been walking w/o crutches a lot more, too. Most of the pain is in my heel. They iced it at the end of the session and I iced it again tonight. Hopefully it'll resolve overnight.
