Update on boot removal

My boot has been off for a week now. Dr Jeng gave me a brace to wear with my tennis shoes. It has been a painful awkward week. The long walk from the parking garage to my office is brutal. I ice my foot each night. On the med calc incision site it is swole like an acorn.

Re: Update on boot removal

Newankle, I have to agree, there are so many stages in this recovery. When you start with the shoe with the brace it feels like you take a giant step backwards. The pain and swelling starts all over again. The atrophied leg muscles ache too because they are so weak. I'm now working on shoe only on flat ground and realize the brace really helps with support so now more aching. I just want to walk without PAIN!!!!!!!
