CRPS or not?

Hi there

I had a Brostrom-Evans-Gould procedure 2 weeks ago on Jan 6th. For the last week I have had intense burning, tingling, electric shock sensations in my foot. I'm assuming that I have had a nerve irritated during the procedure, but when I had the stitches out and my cast changed yesterday the surgeon mentioned the possibility of CRPS starting up..

Does anyone on here have experience of developing CRPS and can reassure me? As the leg is still casted, it's impossible to say if there are any changes in look, and also from what I saw yesterday it is still still pretty swollen and bruised up from the surgery.

It's not a gentle tingling - it's that sort of intense burning that keeps me awake during the night.

Many thanks

Re: CRPS or not?

After my first surgery I had horrible electric shock sensations that would leave me in tears. They stopped soon after I was able to start moving my foot. Hopefully it's just a little nerve damage and not anything more serious!
