    High Ejection %

Iíve had middle/upper abdomen discomfort and bloating for 3 months. On a few occasions, it hurts to move around (from the bloating). Iíve had every test and scan known to man, ruling out everything except a HIDA scan that showed an ejection rate of 88% in my gallbladder. The HIDA did not replicate my symptoms, however my doc suggests removal. Can anyone relate?

Below 35% and above 75% are considered non functioning and grounds for removal. Sounds like you have a good doctor and should take his/her rec

Dont wait. With a scan that high you are at risk for it rupturing and a ruptured Gallbladder can be fatal.

Get it out. Its fairly simple surgery..back at work a week later...tons of us here have had it done and can give you tips and tricks once you get it done.

Let us know ..we will get you through it!
