    Bloody Diarrhea after Gallbladder Removal?

Hi my name is Dana and I'm 17. I had my gallbladder removed (by laparoscopy) on the 1st of August (2012), and I have recovered very quickly since then. I started school on the 8th, feeling totally fine with walking to my classes, while not carrying a school bag of any sort because of the weight. But today, August 11th, I have started having diarrhea and I'm really concerned. Not because of the fact I have diarrhea but because it is painful and bloody. I've had no abdominal pain or cramps of any sort and that bothers me. I'm really scared and I don't know what to do. I've tried talking to my mother about it but she didn't help. I need to know what I should do...

First I'd take some kaopectate or imodium or pepto bismal. And what are you eating? You should be eating NO FAT for at least 3 weeks after your surgery. Then on Monday call your surgeon's office and tell them what is happening.
