Gallstones/gallbladder disease?

Please help. Been going around in circles for a while recently with a condition which just wont go away. Had various symptoms over the past 3 months some of which have come and gone but the ones that have stuck around are as follows;

1. right side mild flank pain and mid back pain - about 1 or 2 on pain scale now. more of an annoyance.
2. recurrent chills / cold and flu type sicknesses - 3 bouts of flu in 3 months. this really gets me down and I feel terrible.
3. Nausea - sometimes from under my ribs in gallbladder area

Ive been to the docs and shes suspected gallstones. I have an ultrasound coming up. ive had various tests and the the only one that has offered any clues so far is a blood test for liver. apparently that test was slightly abnormal. is that consistent with gallstones??

ive been looking at other peoples experiences of gallstones on here and some things fit and others don't. not sure what to make of it all. please help.

Re: Gallstones / gallbladder disease??

Yes, an elevated billirubin is indicative of gallbladder problems. If the u/s is negative, ask for a HIDA Scan. It tests for function. Below 35% or above 75% is considered non functioning and it should be removed.
