Nothing tastes right
I quit smoking about 2 months ago after smoking for 4 years. but I don't think that's the cause.I'm 20. I eat a lot of sweets. Everything tastes wrong. Most things taste bitter or as though they've been burned. Some things taste metallicy, others just tastes really bland. Possible causes?

Re: Nothing tastes right
That's weird. Usually quitting smoking awakens your taste buds and things taste better. Maybe it's the change in taste you sense??? Are you on any meds? Some meds can cause odd tastes though it could be something else like a vitamin excess or deficiency. I know both zinc and B12 imbalances can cause taste changes. Make sure you are eating a healthy diet. No one can survive on sweets alone though most of us would like to try :) If it continues to bother you, you should probably see a doctor and let them evaluate it.

And good for you for quitting smoking! :)
